Ainsley appeared in the Entrance Courtyard with a pop. Unfortunately, she was rather bad at Apparating long distances and popped into existence a foot or so off the ground. She landed running, staggered a few steps, tripped, re-gained her balance, and nearly fell over the fountain.
"Crivens," she muttered to herself in her thick Scottish accent. She managed to remain upright, and looked around the courtyard as she straightened her robes. It seemed relatively empty.
Feeling sure that she was supposed to be meeting someone, Ainsley fumbled in the pocket of her robe and came up with the piece of paper that she'd scribbled the Headmaster's name on the day before.
"I don't suppose going and looking for him will do me any good," she said to herself. Instead, she stood her duffel bag on end, charmed it so that it wouldn't flatten out, and sat on it, crossing one leg over the other and tapping her foot on the air.
She'd had three cups of coffee already that morning. That meant she was probably a good half-hour early for whatever meeting she was supposed to be having.

Holly was walking through the Entrance Courtyard on the way to the Quidditch Pitch with broom in tow when a foreign witch apparated right in front of her. The woman hadn't seen her as yet and Holly wondered what she was doing here. Glancing at her watch, she knew she was late for a meeting at the pitch, but then this was important too.
"Excuse me ma'am, can I help you?" She asked the woman. From the few words she'd heard her mutter, she gathered she was not from around here and her curiosity piqued. Quidditch could wait a couple of minutes while she figured out what this woman was here for.

Ainsley looked up at the sound of the girl's voice. She hadn't seen anyone else in the courtyard, but being preoccupied with not falling flat on her face might have had something to do with that.
"Aye, perhaps you can," she said with a nod. "I'm supposed to be meeting with Headmaster Emerindyl in"--she paused to look at her watch--"fifteen minutes. Could you tell me where I might find him?"

Holly had a few questions as usual, wondering why she had a meeting with the Headmaster. What did he have in store for this pretty young scot?
"Of course I can," Holly grinned and stuck out her hand to shake, "I'm Holly, Holly MacFarlane."
After introducing herself, Holly turned towards the Manor. Though it was huge, it had always been called a Manor instead of Castle and Holly didn't question that.
"The Headmaster's office is this way. It's a good thing you came so early, it's a bit of a walk."

"Ainsley Hume," Ainsley introduced herself as well, glad to have met a friendly student. She laughed when the girl mentioned arriving early.
"I blame that on the coffee," she said. "Another cup and I'd have been here an hour ago."
Then she, too, looked up at the Manor and the staircase leading to it. Both were quite grand, and she almost laughed again at her own laziness. She was so used to Apparating everywhere that the sight of so many stairs was daunting.

"Oh coffee, it's the devil's drink!" Holly exclaimed with a grin, "I'm an addict too," She knew she shouldn't be so informal with an adult she didn't know, but there was something about the woman... Perhaps the way she held herself, or maybe something to do with her accent, but Holly liked her already.
She decided to keep her manners and not enquire as to the reason of her visit, but hauled herself up the giant stairs instead. Soon they found their way to the Headmasters Office and Holly stopped outside.
"Pleasure to meet you Ms. Hume," Holly said politely, "but we've reached the Headmasters Office and I really have to get to Quidditch."
And with that, she turned and dissapeared around the corner, her thoughts back on Quidditch.
