Aurora sat along in the library flicking through books she did not have access to in the private Ameraid library in the commonroom. Her fingers were nimble as they rifled through the crackling pages aand her eyes scanned line after line of spidery text looking for something in particular. She had been at this all morning and this was the umpteenth book she had looked through. In disgust she cast aside Magical Maladies and Youth and Sickness. She quickly picked them up from where they fell on the ground in case the librarian came running.
Sighing she climbed out of the armchair she was sitting in and began to gather the books up again. She had read through an entire section on magical medicine and had found nothing that would help her out. She didn’t enjoy the thought that this, the most extensive library in the country, could not help her. She only imagined the horrors that dwelt on the edge of knowledge beyond these texts.
Moving off towards the countless shelves she had come from, she slowly replaced each book from where she had gotten it. She knew the librarian dfidnt approve of people putting their own books back. Leaving them for her was the only way to ensure they went back in the right place, she believed. Aurora was a little more careful then the average student. And besides, she didn’t want to miss the opportunity of finding something that she might have mixed.
“Headaches...” she muttered as she ran her finger along the spine of books she had not yet read. If it took her all day she would read the entire library to find the information she needed, but then she had nearly exhausted the possible selection. She wondered how she might gain access to the restricted section.
He eyes flitted to the librarian’s desk. The restricted section was in a lock up behind the counter. And at that very moment, someone was already standing at the counter, and she heard them mention the restriction section, or did her ears deceive her?
