Mariana made her way back into the school with a bag full of crap to send back to New Zealand for her mother. She had corresponded often with her mother while she was at school though as it was nearing the beginning of autumn the falling leaves announced more clearer than anything else that soon it would be her mother’s birthday and Mariana thought this year she might take that quantum leap between the presents from a child to the presents from a young adult daughter.
The bag she carried was quite heavy despite the charms the shop assistant assure her were on it to keep it from weighing her down. She considered that fact and shuddered over the real weight of the contents of the bag; postage costs would be murder on her allowance. She shuffled forward tossing a look back to make sure no one was coming up behind her. It was then she allowed herself a little grunt as she heaved the bag upon her shoulder.
There. Much better.
She started forward a little more confidently though, moving around the beautiful fountain in the centre of the cold stone courtyard. The sun was setting now and direct sunlight hadn’t been hitting these stones for a couple of hours. Knowing what she did about stone she was surprised that it was not warm in the courtyard. She dismissed the thoughts as she continued forward. She could see someone coming down through the front door and hoped that they might not make an issue of the way she was carrying her shopping.

“Oh its you,” Rea said as she stopped at the bottom of the stair. She could clearly see the bulky figure off that Saphricorn girl who had accosted her some weeks back when she had made comment about the suspicion of Jay Rastan’s involvement in the murder of Finnias Mark. The two girls had said nothing since that day and all in all Rea had just decided to avoid her altogether. True, the two of them were in the same grade, and they would definitely bump into each other during class or some such other grade event, but they didn’t speak during these encounters and Rea kept mostly to her group of friends hoping that Mariana would do the same.
Well yes of course she was a little nervous about this girl. Mariana was about twice her size. Rea was a petite girl and Mariana was... well... not so petite, which was the politest way she could put it (and often did in front of her own friends). Simply put Rea didn’t like Mariana, and she could not be bothered going out of her way to help the ogre of a girl today or any other day.
“Nesting I see,” she muttered seeing the piles of paper and plastic bags that Mariana was carrying. It was a weak remark but about as far as she was willing to go, she didn’t particularly feel like fighting again today, the two had gone to such lengths to avoid one another, why ruin the peace now.

"I'm not in the mood for you torday" she warned as she continued to heft her bulk across the courtyard. Mariana was still not in the mood to be on speaking terms with this girl, and she had been having such a good day, why should she have to suffer now. Maybe like a bad dream, if she just pretended Rea wasnt real then she would be gone and Mariana could get on with her life. She smirked at that thought, it was a little nasty of her, but she didnt have any reason not to be. Rea was a cow. Thats as much as she knew and as far as she needed to take it.
"Nesting?" she narrowed her eyes and her voice was threatening. She didnt know what the girl meant by this, but the otne in her voice was enough to know that Mariana had every right in the world to curse her for it. She fumbled arouind with her packages; one of them slipped and Mariana felt that sharp shot of ice cold shock as made a moved and caught it, dropping three other bags in the process,
Now she was angry.
"You really dont know when to quit do you, blondie?" she hissed angrily. Her things had remained in their bags, which allowed her the moment to spend all fo her energy on the skinny little princess figure before her. She griped her wand in her pocket. Her hands were perspiring from stress and effort and she wanted just one more reason for things to elevate. She'd already dropped her purchases, why not have it said and done now.
"You know, I can see how a girl like you would have issues with a girl like me, but your not very smart about picking enemies you little rat, I will squash you"
