((Heads - at this point this means that Romulus' curse will function upon Alex as it should. Alex is to play being hit by this curse at full strength, it's affects will last for your entire turn though will wear off on your next turn. Romulus also wins a point for a successful hit. You will have to reach five points for a win.))

Alex watched as his attack took hold on Romulus and he could not have been more pleased with the result. He was standing there waiting for the rebuttal feeling very confident about the way he was performing in this match up.
He stood back and watched, not being the kind of person to attack when someone was wounded or unable to see it coming. He waited and stood back with his hands on his hips. The duel had taken a lot out of him already and he found that his breath was coming fast now, though not too fast too handle.
He looked at Romulus and knew that there would be some level of calculating going through his head. He smiled, as he knew Romulus would be growing frustrated with his losses thus far in their duel. Alex would never have dreamed that the duel would be going in his favour. And so he smiled, knowing that this on its own would be unsettling Romulus.
He nearly even let out a laugh, though he did not wish to give away his position.
As it turned out though, he did not need to give away his position. Romulus had thought of something that would emanate in a blast throughout the arena and would hit Alex no matter where he was.
Alex stupidly ducked rather then raising a shield and for the first time in the match, he was struck hard and found his ears bursting. The pain that coursed down his jaw and throughout his head caused him to collapse to the ground. He had not been prepared for the pain it would cause and could not doing anything more then sit there on the ground, crouching and holding himself waiting for the pain to subside.
It lasted a while and all Alex could do to hold himself back from smashing his teeth was by putting his leather belt in his mouth. Soon enough he had bitten a chunk out of it. The pain was great and Alex knew he could not make it go away, it would have to wear off in time.
He stumbled to his feet, he felt as if his legs might fall out from under him, though he did not give in.
He raised his wand, pointing it at Romulus, he knew his conjunctivitis curse would be about to wear off, and Alex thought they were both wounded now, and it would be fair to retaliate.
“Try this one, Rommy,” he tried to sound as if he was not affected, but he knew his voice betrayed him. He pointed his wand, he would use the stinging hex, if affective it would cause a giant welt on Romulus side, which would hurt more so then the curse he had used on Alex.
