Elouise was snuggling into the large sofa she had found in a private corner of the school Library. She was accustomed to waking early due to her exercise routine that conquered the bulk of the year, though winter had come suddenly and harsh this year and Elouise was no more game to venture outdoors then she was game to start tickling sleeping dragons. She reached for a thermos she had prepared earlier with a good amount of hot chocolate. Normally she would not be allowed to bring food or drink into the school library, though she had managed to bribe the clerk on duty with a mug of it.
Now she could do nothing more then try to keep warm. Fireplaces were banned in the library for obvious reasons. Though Elouise had come to know long ago that magic presented many other possibilities and so she had bewitched the sofa to emanate warmth. She had done the same to some pillows she had found in the vicinity and wad now sitting comfortably reading.
To be honest though, little reading was going on. The book she had grabbed for entertainment pleasure had been one full of pictures. And being that in the wizarding world; pictures moved; it was a lot more entertaining then having to read the book to see what was going on. She smiled at a particularly funny picture where one of the occupants was continually tripping over his own feet, the only reason she didn’t laugh was so that she would not be thrown out.

Strange though it might seem, Alex was wandering through the library looking for something to occupy his time. It had been some time since last someone had forced him to spend some of his free time within the confines of the book mounted walls. He had actually chosen to come in here today, which while it didnt faze Alex at the moment; it might have left others unsettled; in the least; confused and shocked.
He didnt really know what it was he was looking for; at least not until he had found one of his friends sitting by herself looking at a book. "Is that what I think it is?" Alex said to her as he came to rest next to her. The warmless glow of the moving picture made him smile. He loved magic so much; he did miss tv though. This was about as close as one got within the confines of the castle to seeing a television show and while he normally didnt watch a lot of tv, there were some shows he did like.
"I can see your busy studying." he smirked looking at Elouise before moving his eye to focus at the images that moved before both their eyes. "A movie book? An epic tale with pictures; I havent seen one of these since I was in my second year," he said to he as he comfortably rested his head on Elouise' shoulder. They were good friends after all; she could not mind it in the slightest.

Elouise smiled when Alex joined her. It was nice to have company these days. Godric was off being busy with goodness only knew what, and she had grown sick of her morning training and even more sick of following him around and being told to go and find something to occupy herself as Godric didn’t seem interested in welcoming her into his little secrets. Something that hurt just a little bit more then she would ever admit to anyone.
She tried not to make a verbal sound of pleasure at having someone show her affection. She nearly cried as he laid his head on her shoulder. Not because it was not welcome, and certainly not because she found some perversion in it, but because he was a friend, and he seemed to enjoy her company, something she had hungered for with Godric but was denied.
She laughed quietly when he enquired as to it being a movie book. It was not, this one was a satirical book of short stories and the pictures did not play out the full book, only shorter parts of it, such as the man tripping. She had stared at that one for a good length of the candle nearest her before Alex had arrived.
“Study is overrated in winter,” she told him as she turned the page and now saw two quidditch players collide with each other again and again and again. She smiled a little though she would never admit it, she was picture Godric colliding into Aurora Celeste. She had to turn the page quickly knowing that such sinister thoughts did not do her justice.
“Stranger still, seeing you in a library, perhaps that is why you haven’t seen a movie book since your first year, this would have to be the first time you have been back since?” she smirked looking down at him without chinning the crown of his head. She let the book lay down on her legs and she fought to hold back the tears that were not streaming silently down her cheeks.
