Belle sat into one of the squishy chairs in the centre of the library with a book in her hand. It was not a very nice day outside and even now the chill that came in through the minor cracks in the window was driving her to shaking. She was not normally the type of girl you would find in a library. Not that she wasn’t knowledgeable, but she would usually rent her books and take them somewhere else. Namely outside.
She flicked through the pages finding this an uncomfortably cold atmosphere. She could not concentrate despite trying. She had a whole day to fill though as classes were on, though her only classes were outdoors and as such, they were cancelled. She looked around for some sort of diversion. Some excuse to stop studying.

“What are you doing in here?” the voice was a little high pitched and quite accusing. The Librarian’s hair was rather fuzzy today as if she had just stepped in from a trip through the countryside being attacked by the wind and the elements all the way. Though anyone who knew Evangeline knew that this was not the type of woman she was. Anyone who thought about her daily routine in detail would be disappointed… or perhaps pleased, to know that she never left the library and that even her own private living quarters were in the back of the library’s office where no student could ever get to her. No student would ever lay eyes on the pitiful little stay room she had. She knew it was no more spectacular the broom closet. But such was the life of a squib. She would never be able to hold up in a room decorated like a Professor’s. Those rooms had so much magic in them; Evangeline was a squib after all.
“I don’t recall you coming to me and telling me you had a pass to be in here this period, you are not allowed in the library during class without a written letter from a professor,” she snapped at the girl. Her eyes looked as if they were bulging out of their sockets and she looked about ready to grab Belle by the scruff of her neck and throw her out of the doorway into the corridor beyond the library, she didn’t like people being in her library when she thought she was supposed to be thoroughly alone.
“So I suggest-“ she started, with all intentions on throwing this girl out on her ass, “That you take your grubby little fingers, and your grubby little hands, and your ignorant little ways, and get out of my library before I call someone in her to turf you out on your grubby little-‘ she paused. ’Wait a moment,’ she thought as she looked at the girl before her. This might just be exactly what she was looking for.
“My mistake,” her whole composure changed at once as if someone had clicked their fingers and woken her up from a deep hypnosis, “What was I thinking, you are a student here, of course you want to be utilising the library,” she smiled so sweetly and looked so happy to see the girl all of a sudden, that she hoped she did not ruin her chances, “I am so sorry about that, so sorry indeed, I thought you were…” she started making hand gestures for something really short, not knowing what she meant but wanting to make up an excuse that hopefully the girl would not make up for her by trying to guess what she meant.
