Andreas moved into the Library to get away from any other interruptions. The book was his own and while he knew he could just as easily read it in the privac7y of his own room in the Ameraid Fountain. He was not about to pass up the chance to be somewhere other then the place so close to all of his homework and all the studying they usually reminded him of. And so that was why today he would go to the Library.
He moved through wondering if he would see the squib. He usually saw her pottering around annoying him by getting in front of him whenever he was looking for something in particular. He remembered that one time he was looking for a book on the history of Koalingo when the librarian stood in front of the shelf and told him she was busy organising it and that he would have to come back later. He had been so annoyed he was about to say something to her. But stopped when he over heard one of his own housemates saying that there was a copy of the book he was after in the private library in the Ameraid Fountain.
He walked through the library surprised that he did not see the Squib anywhere and soon came to res on a cushioned window that looked out over the grounds. A perfect view. He smiled, settled into the couch and began to read.

“You know, Andreas, you might actually make friends if you spent less time in this ghastly library,” Finnias spoke as he ran his fingers along the spines of the books on the shelf near him. He did read the titles as he did so, though all of them were in the Ameraid library, he did not understand why anyone in the Ameraid house would waste their time in a public library. “Are you to good to study with your own kind, I was at the Ameraid library before, it was quite full, maybe you will meet someone,”
Finnias was Andreas’ older brother, and to say the very least, he was concerned for Andreas’ anti-social behaviour. He didn’t blame him for not having friends in other houses. Most of them were so inept that to befriend them would be to welcome ridicule from others in the Ameraid house, and really, who wanted to catch stupidity it was highly contagious.
“You know, now that I think of it, you have been spending a lot of time out of the commons, what’s going on Andreas? Something I should know about?” Finnias doubted that very much. Of all of his siblings, Andreas was always the dullest. Which sucked for him as none of his other siblings attended Koalingo anymore. He pulled out one of the books and his eyes searched it for a moment, “Oh the filth that has plagued this book,” he said looking at it. It looked rather tacky and very used. None of the books in the personal Ameraid library were like this.
“You know I heard that you are allowed to fly in the ground providing you keep away from everyone else,” he said by way of hinting that Andreas might find something better to do. That and he had heard him say the exact same thing to a Saphricorn a couple of days ago, and thought the hint might be subtly blunt enough to make him move.

“Bite me, loser” Andreas spat at his brother from where he sat. He knew Finnias didn’t approve of the amount of time he spent with his nose in books, but he didn’t really care. It wasn’t like Finnias had much of a social life to be envious of. “When I need advice from someone on how to make friends I might actually ask someone whose got friends, or have you a store you wish to tell me and actually expect me to believe, brother?” it wasn’t very nice but this was the way they spoke to one another.
All the while Andreas did not put his book down or even look away from it, he was very good at multi tasking and would ensure that he put his very best into rebutting these insults. All the while he was continuing to read, he had every intention on having the book in his hand completed by the time the library close that night and he would not let his brother impede on that aim.
“I find the company in the commons not to be of my taste in recent times, Finnias, and I will thank you to understand that it is none of your business where I hang out and why I choose to do so,” he said still not looking at his brother, there was really no reason to his not wanting to stay in the commons, but there was a whole castle out there that he could only see during the day, “What are you so worried about anyway, if your social life is so much better then mine, then why do you need me to be a part of it, you know I am not interested.
Andreas attention was however taken by the mention of flying. If his brother knew one weakness he had, it was that flying was one of his passions, and if the chance came up to go flying he would not pass it up. All the same… the book…
“Well if that is so, then why are you not out flying already?” he asked gauging a reaction. He wondered whether his brother was having him on just to annoy him.
