“So bored…” Henry muttered under his breath as he scuttled along the hallways of the manor on his own. Everyone was in classes at the moment and he had been warned by Elwyn not to interrupt classes so he didn’t. He noticed though, as he got closer to the door, that the library was almost completely empty, there were no clases in here.
This would be such fun as the librarian could not see him, he didn’t know whether this was out of choice but he did not care. It meant he could bait her by moving her things while she was standing right next to him. He caught her muttering a couple of times about how she thought someone had cast a spell on her stapler to not stay in the one place.
“Peeh-Ah-Boo,” he said in a quiet squeak as he poked his head around the bench where the librarian was standing.

Evangeline was busy this morning, there were no classes in the library yet, but many students had returned books that morning and she needed to have them all back in their rightful place before the end of the current class as there were several groups on study periods next and Evangeline prided herself on having everything in its right place when someone wanted to find it.
When she heard the patter of small feet on the marbled floor while she was marking off which books had been returned, she looked suddenly alert and perhaps a little scared. She knew the sound meant nothing good could happen she had been haunted by those footsteps for a long time, and she knew every time it happened she would be cleaning up for the rest of the day.
”What do you want?” she called out feeling a little braver then normal. She was twitching with a little bit of fear, and a little bit more anger, “What do you want? Who are you? Why do you keep doing this to me?”

Alex had just been dropping some books back into the library when he heard the librarian wailing into nothingness. He looked about the library and saw that there was no one there and wondered what on earth she was going on about. He was about five seconds from walking back out again when he heard a second sound and at once it all seemed clear to him. He poked his head around the corner and saw him. Henry; standing at the corner of the bench making noises to scare the librarian.
’Well now, that will not do,’ he thought to himself as he brought his wand out of his pocket and chanted “Furnunculus!” he chanted and the spell hit Henry square in the legs.
“That’ll teach you,” he said coming around the corner to watch the affect take hold of the little Imp, “Picking on a school staff member like that, especially one that cannot see you, that’s a little bit of bad form, isn’t it?” he said looking at the little elf and wondering if it would take his reprimand seriously. He didn’t think so though.

Henry jumped as the spell was fired at him. It missed him by only a little bit, all the same it was enough of a distraction for him to place the blame on another. Surely the librarian would turn and see Alex, who would appear to be aiming his wand at her, as she could not see him.
“My name is Alex! And I am picking on you because you are a filthy dirty squib!” Henry shouted in his best Alex Zander voice and he knew it had sounded perfectly convincing. One of the perks of being able to change anything about your physical appearance was also the ability to take on the sounds of other.
Alex had broken Henry’s highest rule, no one tried to curse him while his back was turned. Alex was not even involved here. Of course he would be involved now. This would all fall on his meddling head. Henry chuckled waiting for the librarian to react.

“Right,” the Librarian was hoarse as she saw Alex. At once she started shouting at him and was even tempted to throw a book at him except that he did not want to damage the book. She was about ready to call school security though but he hands, quick with age; grabbed a hold of Alex by the ear and pulled him closer to her so that she could get a better look.
“You,” she said as she glared at him, “You are on my list, boy” she said as she scowled at him.
“You will be banned from the library until further notice,” she said as she started towards the library door. She didn’t know anything about any imaginary imp’s and so to her the little imps subterfuge had worked perfectly and someone else was taking the rap for his devious ways. “Now you are going to march yourself up to your head of house and tell them what you did to me, I shall know if you have not, and I will not forget your face; I will come looking for you”
These were all very serious threats. She would not forget his face as she had a photographic memory. She sneered at him as she turfed him out of her library giving his ear one last painful twist as she did so, she hoped it bled.
