“So tell me you can stay, I get so lonely without you, My feet wont leave the ground, Can't stand to be away, I get so lonely without you” Lady Saphricorn was singing a song she had heard in the summer that had stuck her mind ever since, she didn’t know all the words, but had made up those she though suitable since then.
She was watering the plants on her balcony office. She didn’t really have anything else she needed to do today as Elwyn was taking the class, so she could relax, she had considered going for a ride on a Hippogriff though she had not thought of it until that morning and organising it would have taken a lot more effort then she currently felt capable of.
She moved on through her office watering this plant and that animal until she came across a little green snake that had itself coiled around the branch of one of her favourite plants. She reached down and allowed it to uncoil itself from the branch and make its way smoothly up her pale arm.
“Zith, you know better then to get too close to that plant,” Sylvia spoke to her little friend before stroking it across its gaunt little face. The snake poked out its tongue and tickled her arm with it. Sylvia laughed gaily, it ticked tremendously and was one of the reasons she was so fond of this particular species of snake, she was very comfortable to be around, and quite loving.
Lady Saphricorn came to rest on one of the twig chairs which had been constructed for her some three hundred years prior. She liked this seat far more then the one at the desk she never actually used. It had a fantastic view and was much closer to nature. She smiled and let the snake slide off her wrist onto a different plant as she looked up to welcome the person whom had just entered her office.

Holly stood for a moment, staring around the beautiful balcony. The morning was still hazy, and try as she might to remember what had happened before she arrived, as soon as she thought she'd grasped onto a memory, it slipped from her again.
"I'm so sorry to disturb you M'Lady," Holly bowed her head, but had no idea why she'd just used that title, it just seemed appropriate, "I'm afraid I'm lost, and I don't know how I got here. The House Elf," she turned to gesture, but said elf had long gone, "The House Elf lead me here."
So what was going on? Who was this majestic looking woman, and what did she know about the situation?

“Well isn’t it about time you arrived,” Lady Saphricorn’s eyes lit up the words she said were not harsh in the slightest, more welcoming then anything else, “I’ve been waiting for a good week, Elwyn assured me it wouldn’t take too long, but then you aren’t the same as everyone else, now are you?” she gave her a little smile with slightly pursed lips, she was excited to meet this woman, she had never before though she had heard so much.
“Come, child, take a seat,” she gestured towards a plant not far from her which immediately extended what looked like strapping vines which writhed like snakes until they came to form a chair similar to the one Sylvia was sitting in.
“I suppose you have some questions,” she said more as a statement then anything else, she was sure this would be something of an understatement, she wasn’t sure the effects of the spell her husband had used to get this woman here, though by the looks of it, physically, everything seemed to have worked perfectly.
“Can you tell me your name?”

Thank Heavens! Holly almost screamed, this woman knew who she was! Almost eagerly, she walked over and sat in the odd plant chair. So she knew she was at Koalingo, she knew this Lady knew her, and she knew her name.
"Holly, my name's Holly, I know that much at least... Sorry, did you say you've been waiting for me?" a confused look swept across her dirty face and the frowned. She was a witch of course, but this was just too strange.
Quite suddenly and without any warning, Holly burst into tears. It had been a long day and this Lady was looking at her with such a motherly expression it was just all too much. She put her face in her hands for a moment, and when she looked up again, the soot on her face had smeared, and she had pale tracks down her face where the tears had fallen. It had been sudden yes, but it was over in a flash. That was Holly though, fast and to the point, then move on. She felt better for crying and she looked to Lady Saphricorn, wiping her face with the back of her hand.

“Oh my dear, of course,” Lady Saphricorn stood as the girl began to cry, she didn’t really expect this, though now that it was happening she wondered fleetingly how she might not have expected it. She placed her hand behind the girl’s head and came to sit down beside her where the vine had hastily formed the single seater into a double. “You poor dear, come now, let it all out,” she crooned. The girl wiped her eyes and Lady Saphricorn became suddenly aware of just how grubby the girl was.
She drew the girl into a hug nonetheless ignoring the marks she knew would pass from his girl to her white silver and blue dress. She held her like a mother would her child and ran her hands down Holly’s short hair which turned white as she did it. By the time she pulled back out of the hug, not wholly releasing the girl, Holly was perfectly clean again, tears were still upon her face where they had been but she would now hopefully be slightly more comfortable.
She reached her hand towards a table across the clearing from them, immediately the small earthenware bottles uncorked and tipped their contents into a glass. A small glass stirrer jumped into the mug and stirred it vigorously for a moment before jumping back out of the mug. It floated across the clearing until Sylvia plucked it out of the air.
“Here my dear, drink this, you will feel much better afterwards,” she gave her the concoction she had had to administer to a lot of the new arrivals. She handed her the mug and watched her concerned. There was something wrong with this one, her memory, this had not happened with the others.

Holly took the mug and sipped it's contents gratefully. She smiled as the liquid tickled her insides and she immediately felt better. A glance at her hands, and she realised she was suddenly clean again and she felt refreshed, warm and comfortable. Whatever had been in that mug, Holly did not want to know, but it was good all the same.
“How did I get here?” she asked quietly, turning to gaze at the view, “And why? Who brought me here? I don’t understand...” She took another sip of her drink and her eyes moved to stare at the floor. It was all so strange, but her mind was beginning to clear now, and her surname had slid into consciousness. MacFarlane? Yes, that was it... She turned to glance at the Lady and the word Sapphire popped into her head, but she had no idea why. Perhaps it was the hue of the woman’s dress? No, that couldn’t be it. Holly had never met her, but Lady Saphricorn was instantly recognisable to anyone that had heard of her.
Holly sipped the liquid again, but strangely the drink never seemed to lessen. Magic of course, but still remarkable. With a sudden jolt, her hand slid to her pocket and she sighed with relief as she pulled out her wand. Well, maybe some things hadn’t changed, she knew this wand was hers.

“That will do for now I think,” Lady Saphricorn took the mug from her carefully and it emptied at once, she placed the mug in the nearest flower bed and it turned to dirt and looked no different then the rest of the flower bed. She smiled when the young woman removed her wand from her pocket and looked at it. Lady Saphricorn knew she could not cure this girl in one go, it would have to be over time, a memory was a delicate thing and she would not risk damage.
“It will take time, but you’ve recovered from the worse of it, my dear, just take it as it comes,” she stood and moved back to the desk which had the little earthenware bottles all over it, she waved her hands over them without touching them and they a;ll moved back into a drawer in the table.
“You must be hungry, I don’t know anyone who can travel through time without having an appetite at the end of it, now lets see…” Lady Saphricorn turned to regard her garden and started making plucking movements with her hands and a bundle of spinach came flying through the air towards her, “Although it will not produce the magical effects that Popeye enjoyed, spinach is most definitely good for you. It is exceptionally rich in carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lutein, and also contains quercetin, a phytochemical with antioxidant properties… er… in other words its tasty and good for you,” she smiled as bewitched a chopping board and a knife to start processing the meal she was making her.
“Hmmm… now where will I get some ricotta from,” she wondered and then winked at Holly before clapping twice and finding a little House Elf present instantly with a platter of it, “Thank You my dear,” she kissed the little elf on the head, it seemed to swoon before disappearing again.
She turned and waved her hands over the collective ingredients plus a few others that appeared on her table when she appeared to not be looking and soon she had a steaming platter of Spinach and Ricotta lasagne, “Here you go my dear,” the platter floated across to Holly, the vines again constructed a table in vast succession in front of her, supplying her with e neatly chiselled knife and fork to accompany, “Eat, it’ll do you wonders,”

“I’m sorry Lady Saphricorn, but did you say ‘time travel’?” Holly asked as she took the plate, knife and fork from the air. There was that name again; Lady Saphricorn. Where had that come from? Well, wherever, she seemed to have no objections, and the name suited her to a tee. What puzzled her more was the fact that she had known Holly’s favourite above all other favourites of food. Not questioning this remarkable ability, Holly sat down in the odd plant chair and began to eat steadily.
“I know it’s strange, but I really do feel like I’ve been here before. Alex said I was twenty-three, but I’m sure that can’t be right... I do know that I was in my thirties when I woke up this morning, wherever that was.” She soon finished the lasagne and resisted the urge to lick the plate clean, but instead sat it neatly on her knees. She had truly never tasted something so delicious.
Holly ran her hand through her hair again, an odd but old habit of hers and she felt the odd spiky quality to the back of it. How much hair product had she used? Odd, because she’d sworn off the stuff not five years before, and grown her hair down her back. It had been so long she’d had to braid it every day for fear of sitting on it.

“Yes dear,” she answered when Holly put the question of time travel to her, “You have come forward in time, perhaps not the way you would think it though, you are most definitely in your thirties, but your body is in its twenties, a luxury that seems to have cost you your memory, short term, but there is a perfectly good reason for all of it, I assure you,” Unfortunately for Holly, Lady Saphricorn did not present her with those perfectly good reasons.
She sighed as she looked up at the young woman again, she could tell her exactly where she woke up that morning, but something in the back of her mind told her it was not time for that piece of information just yet, Holly would have to work that out on her own, over stimulation was the last thing she needed right now.
“That much I cannot help you with, I am afraid, I will let you know though that we know each other quite well, it will come to you in time, but for the sake of your own sanity, it is not yet the time, I am sorry,” she cleared away the remnants of the meal with a flick of her wand, one of very few times when she actually used it, sometimes thought became too much for her, and it was just easier to use a tool that had served many a witch since time began.
“I am glad you are here though, and I am sorry for the way in which your arrival has disrupted your life, but I assure you, the lessons you will come to learn in this time will; only serve to assist you in the future, please, if nothing else, carry that with you,” she walked towards the edge of the balcony by the railing and brought both of her arms out in front of her. Moving them in a sweeping motion together and then apart horizontally a bed materialised
“For now, you must rest, I know there will be much you would like to know, I must however insist,” with this she was instantly in front of the young woman, placing her thumb against Holly’s forehead she placed her in an instant deep sleep. The girl’s body fell lip in the chair, Lady Saphricorn’s hands glowed a faint nimbus as Holly’s sleeping body rose into the air and moved across to the bed where it was gently allowed down into its soft centre.
“Sleep child,”
