There was a loud and sharp knock at the door of the Headmaster’s office. Arutha ConDoin was furious about being told he was to detail the investigation with Robbie Ruberagon and not with someone else higher up in the school. He had worked with Elwyn for many years and had in fact taken the position as Headmaster for a semester once while Elwyn Emerindyl had focused on things that required his talents a little more.
The knock on the door would not have been acceptable had it been someone else, though in this case, and for the fact that they were intimate friends, Arutha thought it was quite to the point and fair. He also did not think Elwyn would see it a different way either.
He waited a moment between the knock and bursting through into the office. He started talking at once not stopping to notice who was or was not in the room. He knew someone was in here as he had heard a voice, though admittedly he was not aware who owned the voice as he had not given it the time to calculate.
“Emerindyl, what is the meaning of this?” he stormed as he thundered into the circular office.
