Julian couldn't sleep. Try as he might, between the hours of tossing and turning in his silken sheets he had worked up enough of a sweat to leave him both uncomfortable and wide awake. It wasn't so much that he couldn't sleep as certain...problems... were keeping him up well into the night. Unamused by the situation at hand, he arose from his large, luxurious bed, and shuffled off into his private bathroom.
Under the steaming jets of hot water that poured down over him he sighed and moaned, not unlike a filthy mudblood whore feeling her first taste of a true wizard. The tensions he had held throughout the evening melted away amid the fragrant smell of soap and shampoo, his roaming hands massaging and kneading the muscles of his body as he cleaned himself. Then, without warning, he reached out and spun the taps to the coldest setting they allowed, and he bit his lip, grunting as the needle-like jets of ice-water poured down upon him. He shuddered, and he shook, trembling so badly he had to brace himself against the wall of the shower to remain upright. It was no less than he deserved...and more to the point, half of the issues that had been keeping him up were no longer a factor.
Extricating himself from the shower doors, his house elf handed him a large, black towel to dry himself with; the small creature's eyes averted for fear of being accused of perversion. Wrapping the towel around himself, Julian left the bath, and whats more his entire suite, driven by an unspoken desire to wander, naked though he was.
And so he found himself in the otherwise deserted common room of the Ruberagon house; his wet curly locks still dripping down the back of his neck as he surveyed his surroundings. No...the thing that drove him from his bed and into the night didn't seem to be present...or was it?

There was something in the air that night. Perhaps it was the weather, and Natalie liked to hope that was the reason. In any case, she'd had awful sleep so far and was sick of it. If she was going to be awake, she decided, she might as well head to the commonroom where it was at least cooler than the room her bed was in.
She stepped into the commonroom and held back a groan as she realised who was in there. This guy seemed to be a lot crazier than most Ruberagons. There seemed to be no limits to what this guy would do, and his personality changed quite often. He creeped Natalie out.
Her bare feet made no sound on the ground beneath her but she saw by his moments that he'd realised she was there. Still, perhaps he would just ignore her..

Julian looked around, feeling a presence drawing near. Perhaps it was the smell of her perfume (or lack there of) wafting into the common room that called his attention to her. Still, half turning on the spot where he stood, his bright blue eyes met those of Natalie Everard, one of the two fabled twin sisters of house Ruberagon. He couldn't help it--he smiled. Not cruel, or malice-filled as most would have expected from him; but a smile that seemed almost genuine, almost real.
"Hello." He said, conversationally, his one hand falling to his towel-covered hip, the other to massage the back of his neck. "What's got you up so late? Couldn't sleep either?" He shifted a bit where he stood, crossing his legs slightly to adjust for certain changes that had occurred. He would have sat down, but then the change would have become even more prominent, and as such problematic. Perhaps she wouldn't notice. Hell, perhaps she wouldn't even care if she did.
((Changed the word "to" to "so" to avoid confusion. Second paragraph, second sentence.))

Natalie kept her eyes on Julians face as he turned around. Tempted though she was to check out the shirtless boy, she refrained and didn't smile. It was a cold look she gave him, as she raised her eyebrows.
"Yes, something like that," she replied in answer to his questions. She had no real reason to be in the commonroom, none of her books or magazines were in here, and yet she felt compelled to stay. She looked over to the pit and decided against sitting near it, as she usually would have, for Julian was quite unpredictable. Instead, she took a large arm chair and curled up in it, turning to look at Julian.
"And what brings you out here? In a towel, no less," she said in an almost disapproving tone.

"The same." He blinked. Her tone was indeed quite disapproving, one could say judgmental even. Straightening fully upright to avoid a painful curvature in his spine, he continued, "I couldn't sleep. So I took a shower. I still couldn't sleep. So I came out here." He took a few carefully chosen steps toward the girl; bringing him within arm's reach.
"Guess what Natalie..." he said, his voice lowering down into a sultry sort of whisper. "I still can't sleep. What do you think I should do about it?" He smiled. He was close enough to feel her warmth, radiating out away from her. He could taste her very scent. Delectable, and yet somehow tainted. It was almost reminiscent of an orchard full of forbidden fruits, all rolled up into one, compact, alluring package.

"How about I use my wand to put you to sleep? I'm sure I won't hear you complaining then," she said, a smirk on her face. She was looking up at him, a little annoyed that she had put herself in a type of corner, an armchair she couldn't get out of without touching him to physically push him away.
She looked to his eyes, they were a piercing blue and she found herself slightly hypnotised. Shaking her head, she looked away past his shoulder and crossed her arms. "But I'll thank you not to invade my personal space Julian."
He was close enough that she could touch his face and the fresh smell from his shower lingered around her. She was repulsed yet ingrigued all at the same time.

"I'll meet you half way." Julian replied smoothly to her warning. "How about you take my wand, give it a good, firm handshake; and we'll see how sleepy I feel. If that works, I can go to bed. If it doesn't, well, I'm sure there are a few other things we could try."
"Or better yet." He leaned down slowly, his face coming closer to hers with ever passing second. "How about you give me one kiss, and if I can still stand afterwards I'll be yours to command. Rumor has it you've got quite the...set of...lips..." His voice trailed, the last of the words ending in a whisper as his face was dead-level with her own, his head turned slightly to prevent any bumping of noses as he brought his lips within millimeters of the girl's. He inhaled, breathing in her scent in a very audible way.

“ARGH! This is infuriating!” Lakasha shouted when she arrived in the lounge not aware to the presence of others. She had actually been talking to herself as she past through the aged red wood timber frame of the door way and moved across the blood velvet carpet to where a table stood against a wall with a crystal decanter full of pure water from the elven springs of Coolangatta.
Her hair was wet and she had a smear of the most violent colour of rouge up one side of her face. She had showered and was just apply a mask for sleeping when she tripped over her house elf and face planted on her dressing table. She would not normally have left her room in such a state but as she had attempted so furiously to punish her house elf while it scuttled away from her. She had set her room on fire and was told by other house elves; protecting their own; to stay out of the room while they aired it out and replaced her burned possessions.
“The cleverness of me,” she said in a mocking voice, her house elf had said it to her as it was bringing her something right before she had tripped over it. She downed the glass in one gulp and spun around to rest against the table when her eyes fell on the scene before her. She was instantly sickened, “Oh my god…”

Natalie squirmed slightly as Julian got closer and closer. She was incredibly uncomfortable, but didn't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing he made her feel like that. She wasn't sure what his intention was, whether he was serious or just trying to creep her out. In any case, she wasn't going to have a bar of it.
He was close enough to kiss her now, and it truly looked like he was about to. Just as she brought her hands up to push him away, there came another voice in the room. Natalie turned her head quickly in the direction of the sound and bashed skulls with the male Ruberagon.
Groaning and putting one hand on her head, she used the other to push him away and clambered out of the chair. "I don't which Everard you think I am, D'Angelis, but I'm obviously the wrong one," she shoved past him, her hand still on her head.

"Oh sure then eh Jess?!" Julian called after her, holding his own head and squinting at the blurred form of her retreating. "Call me out here in the dead of night, pretending to be your much hotter sister Natalie, get me naked and dripping and ready for a 'surprise', and then BAM! Off you trot!"
Rounding on the spot, he turned and saw the new arrival to the common room. "Oh... it's you." He said, indicating the bi-polar premadonna that was Lakasha. Privately, he couldn't stand her and her bratty nature. She thought she had problems...she couldn't possibly imagine--nevertheless, he quieted once realizing there was another in the common room.
"I see. Well, you two lady lovers sort out whatever hissy-fit you plan on having. I'm going back to bed. Night." And with that he strode from the room, towel and all.
