There was a package at the end of Natalie's bed as she woke. Her House Elf had most likely placed it there, but the noise of the creature closing her bedroom door had woken her. It was too early for breakfast, but too late to go back to sleep. Instead, she decided to take a shower while there was nobody else around.
But first, she would decide what to do with the package. Opening it, she revealed thick material and when she pulled it out she realised it was a school cloak. Natalie didn't like to buy clothes in stores and so had her family seamstress make school clothes for her out of better materials, and to her exact measurements. This was Natalie's secret to her impeccable appearance.
Unfortunately, some idiot at her familys house had sent both hers and her twin's cloaks in the same package. Annoyed, she checked the stitching on both of them and picked up the better made one. After hanging that cloak in her wardrobe, she took the second one to give to her sister.
Not bothering to knock on Jessica's door, for that would imply she cared about her feelings, Natalie opened the door and walked right in, ready to dump the cloak on her sister. To her mild surprise, there was nobody in the room and the bed looked unslept in. Though, that could have been the work of her House Elf.

"What are you doing in here?" a voice came from the doorway. It was Jessica, and she was not happy to see her sister in her bedroom. She was tired and in a foul mood and she could think of nothing better than maiming her sister for such an act. Well, the thought, deciding not to act just yet, Give it time...
Irritated that Natalie had violated her privacy in such a way, she was prepared to pick the fight that had been brewing between them for the last couple of weeks. Of course the two had never gotten along before, but they grew further and further apart as they moved up the ranks in the school.
Jessica saw her sister as pathetic and useless and was easily annoyed at the disgusting displays of affection she had towards Lucius Sinister.

"The House sent your cloak to me," she replied, annoyed at having been caught off guard. It was just like Jessica to sneak up on her like that and her hand slid into her pocket to grip her wand. Natalie wouldn't do anything just yet, but she knew it wasn't beneath Jessica to hex her own sister. Natalie would probably do the same thing in such a situation, but for now she remained on the defence.
"Lucky I saw though, yours is bigger. I guess you've been packing on the pounds around those hips," she said. She knew of course that what she said was a lie, but she could not and would not let Jessica have the upper hand.
Dropping the cloak on the edge of the bed, she was satisfied as it slid off and onto the ground. Not bothering to pick it up, Natalie pushed past her twin and out the door.
"Maybe you should lay off the desserts for a while?" She suggested. Her hand was still on her wand, awaiting her sister to hit her while her back was turned.

Jessica saw Natalie’s hand in her pocket. It looked like Natalie knew her intentions. Perhaps her twin knew her better than she thought. Still, she wasn’t one to disappoint.
Whipping her wand out of her pocket, she aimed it carefully at her sisters back and said with a flourish ”Relashio!” The spell was one to cause a jet of hot air and should it be effective, there would be a large burn across Natalie’s entire back. Blisters and pain, all the way.

Natalie turned as she heard the movement of Jessica. Predictably, Jessica had sent a spell at her back and she faced her sister. She fumbled however; her wand caught in her pocket and was caught by the full blast of the spell across the face and chest. With a scream, she dropped to the ground. The spell was agony, and if she didn’t get to the hospital wing soon, there could be permanent damage.
Her sisters spell was designed for pain, and Natalie felt it. She wasn’t going to let Jessica win though, and she picked her wand up from where it had fallen and aimed it at her sister.
”Locomotor Mortis!” she spoke, watching as her sister fell to the ground in a full body bind. Standing up, her face and chest still burning she looked down at her sister on the ground. “You are pathetic Jessica.”
She turned and walked away, heading to the hospital wing. No doubt there would be repercussions for her actions, but in all honesty, she had not been the one to start the fight.

“Well now, that is a position most becoming,” Romulus said as he sidled up to the scene. He didn’t do anything to help her at once, in fact he felt to lean back with his arms folded and watch the akward looking figure frozen; locked on the floor looking somewhat pathetic. Pathetic, what a perfect description for the scene before him. He had to admit he admired the handiwork of the twin that had walked off cradling her wounds, though he couldn’t; knowing that she showed mercy was enough to turn his stomach, if it were Romulus and his brother… well… he didn’t really need to elaborate on that particular thought.
”You know… sibling rivalry can be healthy, I suppose… I mean I wouldn’t know of course…” he trailed off a little before smiling and completing, “I don’t have any siblings, not anymore at least,”
”A full body bind, ingenious, mind I don’t quite feel your sister had the guts to complete the spell,” he meant of course something in the line of finishing her off, but Romulus knew what kind of person he would have preferred and knowing now Natalie simply did not have the balls for … well… his standards. He decided it might be prudent to settle with the other twin. Even if he knew he might have to train her up a bit.
“Finite Incantatem,” he chanted moving his wand in a whip like movement, a strand of flame whipped out from his wand and wrapped around the fallen Everard before dissipating removing the full body bind altogether. He did not hold his hand out to help her out though, if she had any chance in his world, she would have to rely on herself. Next time he would not help her.

Jessica sat up, fuming. It had been embarassing to say the least that her twin had bested her, and even more so that it had been Romulus who had found her.
Picking herself up off the ground, she brushed off her clothes. They were the same ones she'd been wearing the previous day. She had not been home all night and as yet hadn't had a chance to shower and change in time for classes.
Not bothering to thank Romulus. His words had grated on her, rubbing in the fact that Natalie had one over her. Nevermind though, she would soon get her pest of a sister back for humiliating her in such a way.
Turning, she stepped into her bedroom, for that had been where the fight had taken place, and slammed the door shut, not uttering a single word to Romulus.

Romulus sidled up to the bedroom door and leant against it, casting his voice through the door where he was sure Jessica could hear him. He had seen her out the night before and had in fact been returning to his own room at the same time; somewhat coincidental to say the least. However, Jessica’s humiliation was not yet over, and Romulus was not to be deterred by a closed door.
”You know… what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger… or some rubbish like that, I would like to give you some advice, but I think we both know the answer to that little issue,” he said knowing full and well he didn’t give a sh*t about giving Jessica advice, it just wasn’t who he was. “You know, its sometimes more humiliating to think about it after it is done, then to forget it and simply plan your attack… well in this case rebuttal,”
He didn’t really care whether he could see her face or not, he could tell she was listening, whether she was trying not to listed was something different altogether, he knew she would hear him even if she weren’t trying to listen.
He heaved a great sigh and smiled, the whole thing had been rather amusing, he didn’t hesitate to tell her about it, “Admit though, it was pretty funny,”

"I'm sure I would have found it a lot more amusing had I expected Natalie to react." Jessica opened the door to face Romulus "She's so pathetic, apparently she grew a spine overnight." Jessica looked sour.
"Revenge is a dish best served cold, Romulus, and she'll get hers. I just haven't figured out what I'll do yet." She had taken her cloak off and now stood in plain black robes with silver thread embroidering the collar. Her hair was tied back and there was a slight smudge of dirt on her face, though that had been there the whole time.

“So really what you are saying is she took you by surprise and as a result of that… well… you lost the battle… that’s pretty pathetic, even by the standards of… I dunno… a Saphricorn, come off it, you could not see that coming, I saw it coming and I was not even in the same corridor,” he said to her not looking at her directly. He leant against the door jam and smiled about the whole thing. It was pretty funny, and he stood by his beliefs that what didn’t kill you… generally got killed in revenge.
“Well don’t spend too much time woprrying your pretty little head about it, if you haven’t thought of something soon, I wouldn’t bother,” He dismissed her with a derisive sniff and turned away to look down the corridor though he didn’t actually walk away just yet. “If it takes you time to think of a reaction, this is probably why she beat you to the punch, I wouldn’t go letting anyone else know about this weakness of yours,” he started moving and stopped to look over his shoulder.
“What’s your sister’s name again? I might have to look her up some time?”

"It's none of your business, Romulus," Jessica said, referring to him and his revenge talk. He spoke down to her and she didn't like that. It was bad enough that her sister had bested her, but here Romulus was, rubbing salt in her wounds.
"Natalie, her name is Natalie." she said, still agitated. Jessica decided that this conversation had gone on long enough, she wasn't going to stand here and let him mock her. Her books were already in her arms and she shut her bedroom door. Pushing past him, she began to walk down the corridor, not bothering to see if he was coming. If he wanted to follow her like a puppy dog, that was his prerogative.

"Not very likely," he grinned and laughed before walking off towards his own room.
