Post by Lucius Sinister on Apr 20, 2007 0:42:22 GMT 10
Lucius had arrived among the last to return from the Bloodlust nightclub. It had been a victory party for him and he was not in the slightest interested in allowing the death of an Ameraid ruin his mood this morning. That was not to say things weren’t a little subdued at the Ruberagon table while they sat around waiting for instructions. Lucius had long since discovered that the house elves were non responsive this morning and had ordered his own house elf to go down into the kitchens to fetch him a drink. As yet Tonkin had not returned, though Lucius suspected the other house elves had something to do with it, and so sat silently while he waited for someone else to tell them it was fine to return to the way things were.
That was the long or short of it of course, what was the point in harbouring pains of death for longer then need be, life goes on and people go on with it, the world should not stop for one person, least of all an Ameraid. Still though Lucius admitted a curious feeling towards what had happened. He had been a little more then shaken by the thought that the guild of Avada had managed to get someone into the walls of Koalingo while everyone was away, though the more he thought about it, the more he realised in the ingenious plan to utilise the duelling competition. It would have been right for the picking, if only Lucius had foreseen this and had someone remain to watch things.
In hindsight, everything is a good idea.
Lucius sat and looked around at those near him. Lakasha had also been victorious in her duel the night before, though Romulus had not been. Lucius had gloated about it plenty in the party that followed the duelling competition, though he knew that this moment of not bringing it up was only to sate the professor’s whom might expect a little more from Lucius Sinister, and so he would deliver a solemn presence.
What he did not enjoy was the crisp coolness in the golden hall. It was eary, granted, though the hall was quite cold, the fires had not been lit, and no one seemed at all interested in getting them started, “Oh for goodness sake,” Lucius grumbled as he whipped his wand at the fireplace nearest him and it erupted into flames at once. He felt the warmness reach him and he looked around at the Ruberagon’s near him, “Somebody start talking,”

Kalika would have spent the better half of the already long night fuming about her loss to the Ameraid girl were it not for the chaos that awaited the club goers back at Koalingo. The vibe of the students had been one of pumped up adrenaline as they had left Bloodlust that night. The victorious ones being congradulated and applauded however Kalika had been silent and quite shocked for the most part on her loss. Though the trivial duel seemed a distant memory as she sat with her housemates the morning after the incident, somber and tense as the silence became deafening in the Golden Hall.
Of course Kalika was not sitting in silence for mourning over the boy that had been killed; after all, why should she? He was nothing of importance to her and she really didn't care who he was. What troubled her is the nature of the killing. The only ones to use the killing curse so freely, and it so obviously was that particular curse, were the Guild of Avada. How they had managed to penetrate the walls of Koalingo was what was perplexing Kalika. How? And Who? Why the Ameraid boy of all people? The Guild wouldn't just kill one person just because... There had to be a reason for this boy being targeted. And lastly... Who would be next, if there were anymore killings to be had?
All these thoughts hung heavy on Kalika's mind as she looked at Lucius to gauge his thoughts. He seemed to be slightly on edge, which was very much not in his nature to be as he was always rather calm and cool in his feelings. Kalika turned back to her own thoughts after scanning the table once to see how other Ruberagons were behaving.
Suddenly Lucius voice boomed through the dead silence of the Golden Hall as he lit the fireplaces with his wand. Kalika turned to the fire in a half-daze. She wasn't so much jarred by the death- in reality she had seen much more grizzly scenes of death in her lifetime- however the questions of the Guild were what kept her mind distant from the present.
Normally Kalika always had something to say for every situation however, she had been so lost in her thoughts that she did not even bother to respond when Lucius told someone to talk. Maybe one of the other Ruberagons could offer up something to cease the tension that heavily permeated the air.

Post by Albert Francis on Apr 20, 2007 14:23:00 GMT 10
Albert was shaken to the core by the happenings of the night before. He had been hanging around in the golden hall since he had returned from the bloodlust nightclub waiting to see Romulus, though by the looks of it he had not yet arrived. Albert was very much so on edge and could not hide the fact that something had gone severely wrong in the school the night before. He sat on his own a little away from the smaller groups that were at the table. A lot of the others had retired to their quarters, though Albert knew this was probably more to hide that they felt something more for the murder then they were willing to let anyone else know about.
Honestly? Albert was terrified. He knew a little more about things then others would understand, and he knew that something had gone severely wrong the night before, though not in the way many would think. As soon as he got a chance he would need to sneak off in search for Romulus. He would wait a little longer though, long enough not to draw attention to himself. People were still pouring into the golden hall, and very few left it.
When Lucius spoke Albert sneered at him knowing he would not notice from the distance between them. Albert did not like Lucius Sinister at all, nor did he appreciate the way the two of them sat there as if the whole thing was something of an inconvenience to the both of them. Albert would have said something too, if it weren’t for the fact that he was only a fourth year and would likely get hexed before he had finished verbalising his opinion of the stuck up jerk and his woman.
Albert looked away and started fingering a knot in the table. What would this mean for the rest of them now?

Paulk sat a little away from Albert and while his acquaintance dared to glare at Lucius Sinister, Paulk was a little smarter and kept his dislike for the seventh year to himself. He sat there looking around in silence. He was as shaken about the death as Albert was, and for many of the same reasons; though like Albert he would never disclose why this was the case. He merely remained stationary awaiting to hear something from one of the Professor’s.
He was a little surprised that no one had come to speak to them as yet. Paulk had seen all four of the founders standing in the doorway and then walking off at one point or another, though none of them had dared to say anything to anyone about what was happening. Paulk didn’t care though, he knew he would find out soon enough, the school would be talking about this one for a long time; and that was only if they did not all get sent home.
He looked about again as he saw the form of an adult growing in the doorway. Paulk sneered as he saw it was one of the Ministry auror’s. They approached one of the students from an opposing house and took them out; no doubt to question them. Paulk had avoided being questioned by being amoung the last to return. He had left Romulus at the blood lust night club and returned to get some sleep. Sleep that seemed much further away now.

Post by Lakasha Shocanis on Apr 20, 2007 18:41:12 GMT 10
Lakasha had arrived with Lucius and Kalika and so had been in the Golden Hall for quite some time now doing little more the cooling her heels. She was silent as everyone else, though she also had her other motives. She knew Lucius might not admit it, but the Guild of Avada, killing someone in the school grounds had to shake him. It certainly shook Lakasha. She was angry more then anything else. She bore hatred for the Guild of Avada that she knew was surpassed only by a few other people. She had many reasons for hating them half the motive to be in Lucius’ side anyway.
She was looking at her nails watching the tips of poison she had on them. It was fading now and was barely lethal. She grimaced as she watched it disappearing before her eyes. Poison was not really appropriate while in the school, though if she had been given access to the Ruberagon common room she might have been able to clean it off.
She sat and looked around while she waited for something else to happen. She spied out of the corner of her eye that the younger Ruberagon, she didn’t know his name, anyway he wasn’t important, but he was looking at Lucius with a gaze of severe hatred. Lakasha was not at all surprised. Many people treated Lucius with the same amount of dislike, though few of them ever openly showed it like this boy was.
She would have to have a chat with him later.
She glanced around and saw few other signs of grief at the Ruberagon table. Many of them were shaken by the fact that the Guild had gotten into the Manor, though most of them knew how perfectly safe the Ruberagon common was, and so the murder was of no moment to them.
“What does a girl have to do to get a drink around here?” she started after Lucius had mentioned someone should say something. She didn’t think this was a very appropriate conversation starter, though it was one better then ’Whose a girl gotta kill for a drink, around here?’ which she had only barely stopped herself from saying.
