Welcome to Ameraid House.
So I guess this is the part where I am supposed to approve of the new ‘allow the students to choose their house’ rule. Well I am not going to, so don’t hold your breath. I believe that a student has to have particular qualities to be welcome to my House, and as such I expect you to choose very carefully as I will freely voice my opinions of your choice should you not reach my houses requirements.
That said, do not be deterred from the Ameraid House for it is the wisest House of Koalingo Academy, and those of you whom wish to excel intellectually and magically should definitely join my House. You should notice at this point I am not suggesting “considering” Ameraid. If joining Ameraid is something you need to take into consideration then you should understand at once this means you are not suited for this house. You decision should be decisive and made without hesitation.
It is a long standing and very well known fact that a student CANNOT draw out the Ameraid sword as well as one of the other house swords. It is not possible. If you are choosing to be in Ameraid you should be aware from the offset that Ameraid is the only choice. When posting your sorting thread you should ONLY be able to draw out the Ameraid Sword if it is indeed the house you wish to join.
In Ameraid House we strive to excel in all subjects of magic and beyond. Every student should apply themselves to the best of their ability in all subjects.
The House Common as you have probably guessed by now, if you are reading this after every other House welcome, is actually a lot more then a dormitory, it is home to the students of Ameraid. The common itself is position in the centre of the Entrance Courtyard, interesting position? Well that’s because it is the Fountain in the centre of the courtyard.
This fountain is a lot more then it appears. The fountain is a statue of a fish which sprays water into the air, but this is not the entrance. The other fish, the one pointing off to the South is the portal through which you will enter Ameraid Underwater Palace. This common entrance actually sucks you into the common through means of a charm which allows only the entrance of Ameraid students, and anyone with permission from the Head of House.
You will actually be sucked into the fish’s mouth at which point you will understand you are actually surrounded by water. Have no fear though, if you are truly an Ameraid student you will not drown but will find you can freely breathe in this water. Move through the water ahead of you will be a vast expanse of climbing towers and sharply beautiful turrets which form the Ameraid underwater Palace.
You will enter through a solid wall of bubble. Upon arrival inside the Palace you will find yourself completely dry and unharmed by water. The entrance cavern is so high it is impossible to see the ceiling. You see this area is quite vast and around the room at regular intervals aside masses of high glass bubbled windows are spiral staircases, which lead up to the thousands of higher levels of the Underwater Palace. It is up these that you will find your rooms.
Each student has his or her own level in the Palace. Tey are vast suites in which you will have your own bedroom, bathroom, library/study, poolroom and Magic room in which to practically study your craft.
Beyond the Palace in the water are many other underwater sports to train your bodies as much as your mind. Enjoy them all, it is your right in this House.
Welcome to Ameraid!
