Barnak's eyes narrowed and his chin lowered itself slowly until he was peering at the lowly elf. For a moment it appeared he might reprimand the creature for giving him cause to answer to it, but the moment passed and with a sigh he spoke again;
"Three. They are only small bottles; they look like little pears and the ointment they contain is of a similar green colour. They're in the front row of one of the shelves to the left of the main room. There are plenty, so if you arrange them appropriately it will be a siginificant amount of time until he notices them missing."
Barnak paused to sniff imperiously, glancing about and lowering his voice even below the hush at which the exchange was already taking place.
"I expect them by midnight."
He gathered his robes about him and left.

Shrinking back from the flying edge of his master's robes Binky slowly flexed his tiny fingers and, once certain that his master was gone, he took a couple of tentative steps toward the entrance of the Hospital Wing. His ears preceded him around the corner, and then his long nose, and then two eyes became visible to anyone watching on the other side.
Binky peered around the room and spied the little side-cupboard his master had spoken of. He plastered himself against the wall and eased around it, making his way to a bed at the end of the row and settling himself behind it to wait quietly for things to become dark and silent for the night.
