Well as you all know Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the name of the seventh and final Harry Potter Book of the series we all love, the series that has brought us all together. Introduced us to one another; given us the possibility to know one another, to make friends, and for a lucky few, even more then friends! It has been a long journey and one that will be very memorable to me and I hope to most who have enjoyed Koalingo through its time, be it in the last year only, or be it in its many different forms over the eight years of its existance. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is to be launched on the 21st of July. Aptly dated for it is the day before my 23rd Birthday. (I know I know... I look pretty bad for a 23 year old *points to siggy*) A birthday of which I have asked everyone I know to get me a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows just to see how many I can get! And because, of course, I just want them... Anyway, before we get too off track. The reason we are here today; if you have not already skipped ahead to see it when the images loaded; is to see the new covers of the final book as it will be released everywhere in the world (except America, who will have its own cover...) Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, wizards and witches, magical creatures and... Moss... Not to forget to mention all you wonderful House Elves! Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows;

I like the children's cover better of course. But I think perhaps, that it looks different to the other versions of the book. Perhaps more popularity gives your rights to a different style? Personall I think they should have continued with the layout in the other six. But I do like it.
The adults cover, as always, is a little dull, but i think it is intriguing enough for adults *snickers as if he is not one*
---------
We must ask ourselves though, what can we learn from this cover. I dont think people realised it until they read it about how much the cover of "Half Blood Prince" actually gave away about the book itself.
I mean I supposed this cover is not a lot do go on. It appears Harry is in some sort of arena... something... maybe it is at the school. But then if you look closely, he is wearing Slytherin's locket. Now is it the one he and Dumbledore found, just to keep him on track, or is it Voldemort's locket.
He looks as if he is perhaps performing some wandless magic? Could that be it, or is he possessed by the locket?
Who knows.... share you thoughts!

It's nthing like the aussie versions of the previous six, that is interesting, it wont really match when they release a seven book box set. Though those box sets are so big I wonder how they would fit into a box set anymore... though I am sure I will get the box set when it comes out anywhere.
I wonder why he is wearing the locket though, that is interesting.

Complete and utter theory here but cover scene is at the end of the book, Voldemort had taken over Harry's body after losing his own due to Harry and his Horcrux hunt, the locket helps him maintain the control over Harry...
..And Voldemort being an old perv might make the now possessed Harry finally snog the Heroine, also known as Hermione.
Like I said complete theory but I get the feeling Harry wouldn't just wear Slytherin's locket without reason. So you never know...

At least we won't get that awful lightning bolt font I don't think we always get the same cover though? Or we get it, and the top is chopped off and the font is changed. I was sure the Brits had a green cover for Half Blood Prince, but we had a sort of orange/blue one?

I suppose that is possible, look at his face, and the way he is holdiing his hands, they look like dark wizard stances... interesting, you could be onto something About the covers, hey, thats pretty interesting too... maybe our cover will be completely diferent, only the article I saw said that only America would have a different one, but it is possible, always.

Hey Everyone! I did some further investigations, as we all should know by now you can never trust one news source, and found that another book cover was launched this morning, and I think this one is a lot closer to what we might all have expected given our normal cover layout. This: is apparently the cover version to our layout, it is being released in many countries, including Britain and Australia, The first one I posted here is in fact the AMERICAN cover. So our friends as NINEMSN had it wrong. This is the Australian/British children's book cover. Though the adult cover I posted is also going to be released in Australia. Completely different... I wonder then, who has theories on these new findings?

I have been looking at the cover. They are obviously in some sort of room with treasure in it. But if you have a close look, something is actually hanging onto the back of Harry's robes. I couldnt be sure at first, but the hand that is holding a sword with a ruby gem on it (gryffindor's sword perhaps?) is browner and thinner, and there is a matching hand holding onto Harry's right shoulder and I think I can see a house elf ear behind the same shoulder. They seem to have gone to a big of trouble to hide this figure, but at the same time not disinclude it. So that is interesting.
Harry used Dobby in Half Blood Prince to do things for him, maybe Dobby is with them again. As I said he appears to be holding the Gryffindor sword.
It also looks like they are running from something. Ron in particular looks frightened out of his whits. Hermione looks a little frightened... perhaps they are falling backwards into that thing behind them... At first I thought they could be running forward as it is pouring out, but then the position of Ron's leg lkind of says otherwise...
Their choice of clothes is a little off too. Ron looks like is is wearing formal green and gold robes, that or it is Jamaican national pancho day or something...
Could this be one of their many quests for a Horcrux? There is a green egg among the things aroud them,, right in front of his hand actually. Wasnt the hufflepuff horcrux an egg cup?

You know what that looks like? The train road for the Hogwarts express... Is Voldemort perhaps attacking the Hogwarts Express and Harry is fighting him? And the curtains... Hmmm... "The Stage Is Set!"

And if you look even closer in the last picture that has been displayed you can see the heads of tombstones.
Harry seems to get getting uglier in each cover I think, maybe, well especially in the one with all three of them, and Hermione doesn't look all to attractive either, Ron looking stupid is understandable thought. Maybe what they are falling into is the elusive veil... maybe they all die...

Tombstones? You sure, I would say they look more like trees?

Yeah, I think they look like trees, I suppose they could be tomb stones, but i would think it would make more sense for them to be trees. Would they have perhaps put a cross, or made some of them look slightly different if they thought they should be tombstones?
